As teachers we have many students coming into our classes with a large number of misconceptions. These ideas often interfere with what they are learning in school. The misconception that there is no gravity in space is one of the top misconceptions in science today. We designed this study to discover what people really understand firsthand about gravity in space.
By conducting this brief study, teachers will be able to better comprehend the role misconceptions can play in student learning, and how we as educators need to be aware of these misconceptions in order to guide our instruction.
